Sales Media Planner
The Sales Media Planner will work closely with the Senior Manager, Sales Planning by helping support Crackle?s advertising business across mobile/tablet, online and connected TV platforms. As Sales Media Planner, you will work with our sales, ad solutions and pricing and yield management teams to develop media plans and proposals that meet advertiser objectives.
This position requires creative thinking and factual analysis to develop appropriate media plans to ensure that campaigns reach their target audience and marketing objectives as effectively as possible. As such, this individual must be organized, detail oriented and very knowledgeable in digital media including systems and tools, opportunities and limitations. It will also require the ability to consider campaign goals and media plan variables (ie. platforms, targeting, types of ad units, available inventory, pricing and performance). The ability to effectively juggle multiple media plan requests and meet deadlines is essential for success.
Responsibilities
? Provide support & report to Senior Manager, Sales Planning
? Provide Sales with creative &strategic media plans to increase sales and drive revenue
? Ensure a high level of customer service with all clients and internal teams
? Directly support Account Executives & Sales Associates throughout all aspects of the sales process
? Pull accurate inventory forecasts using Operative and Freewheel and work with Manager, Pricing & Yield Mgmt to determine forecasts for complex scenarios
? Solicit feedback from Ad Solutions when generating media plans associated with marketing sponsorships, branded entertainment etc.
? Be aware of content, new features, and new ad units in order to put together the best media plans possible
? Input sales orders into Operative, Freewheel RPM and other sales order entry systems such as Atlas, iDesk, etc.
? Fill out agency templates and spec sheets
? Work with Pricing & Yield Management on inventory issues, revenue at risk etc. and revenue and cpm analysis reports (ranging from weekly to qtrly forecasting)
? Provide management with weekly report of all inventory working, on hold, or ordered and sell-out levels and revenue reports as needed
? Stay aware of reserved inventory & determine with Sales team what reservations need to be expired from the system
? Work with Ad Operations to review campaigns and assist as needed with post-campaign reports for advertisers
Qualifications
Requirements
? BA or BS from a top tier university preferred
? Min. 3-5+ years experience in digital media ? planning and/or buying preferred; publisher & agency background a plus
? Experience with digital advertising platforms (DoubleClick (DFP), Atlas, Freewheel etc.) utilizing content & audience targeting
? Prior experience working across various channels, including video, mobile and Connected devices preferred
? Knowledge of Salesforce, Operative, Freewheel, SAS or other business analytics software
? Highly organized and detailed-oriented; able to multi-task and work on multiple ongoing projects
? Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment with deadlines
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with agencies should the need arise
? Ability to work independently but must be a team player
